Lafayette Elementary School: COVID-19 Notification
ArticlesA letter to the Lafayette community was sent on May 3, 2021, notifying them of two positive COVID-19 cases in the building when students were present on April 30, 2021.
Additionally, since impacted in-person classroom cohorts must quarantine for 10 days, students in those three classrooms will transition to at-home, virtual learning for the time being. All other in-person programing at our building will continue as usual.
In addition to following all health and safety guidance issued by DC Health and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) regarding COVID-19, DC Public Schools commits to notifying a school community regarding a confirmed positive case of a staff member or student in a building where students are present.
