Ludlow-Taylor Elementary School: COVID-19 Notification
ArticlesA letter to the Ludlow-Taylor community was sent on February 24, 2021, notifying them of abnormal positive test results received from an expired batch of asymptomatic student tests that were analyzed outside the standard review window. Out of an abundance of caution, DCPS activated the COVID-19 Response Protocol and treated any abnormal positive results as if they were new cases.
Additionally, since the impacted in-person classroom cohorts must quarantine for 14 days, students in those classrooms transitioned to at-home, virtual learning for the time being. All other in-person programing at the building will continue as usual.
In addition to following all health and safety guidance issued by DC Health and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) regarding COVID-19, DC Public Schools commits to notifying a school community regarding a confirmed positive case of a staff member or student in a building where students are present.
