Student Poster Designs Capture Ways to “Invest in our Planet”

To celebrate Earth Day, DCPS students in grades 1 through 5 had the opportunity to commemorate the annual event and our planet through a poster design contest. They were invited to create a piece of art around the theme of Earth Day 2022: “Invest in our Planet.” Their creativity emphasizes the importance of utilizing this moment to be bold, innovate, and act in a way that ensures everyone is accounted for, and everyone is accountable for a healthy planet.
We are proud to announce the grade-level winners of this first-ever art competition and thank all the students who submitted their inspired designs. The art contest is supported by volunteers from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Earth Day Committee, who served on the judging panel.
