High School English Learner Summer Academic Program (ELSAP)

Eligible students: 9th – 12th grade students
Dates: June 22 – July 30, 2026 (Classes will not be in session on Fridays.)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Site: Jackson-Reed HS

The English Learner Summer Academic Program (ELSAP) is a DCPS program specifically for Multilingual Learners (MLs) who are still developing their English proficiency. Language development will be integrated with hands-on content and literacy development. This is a program for students who are receiving English for Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL) Services. Students will be notified by their school if they are eligible to participate.

Multilingual Learners can also participate in Summer Acceleration programs.
