Overview of Term 3 Reopening Plans

This page is now archived because it relates to information for the previous school year.

It was really important for us to hear from both families and teachers. In order to produce our return to in-person learning plan, we surveyed families and then our administration team met with teachers. Based on the feedback from those surveys and meetings, we chose models for each grade level that seemed to represent what both families and teachers thought would be best.

— Miner Elementary School parent on Reopen Community Corps process for Term 3.

Each school’s reopening plan is unique thanks to the collaborative work of their Reopen Community Corps. This group of stakeholders at every school reviewed feedback from learning preference surveys, led with equity to prioritize their highest need students, and helped school leaders design a tailored reopening plan for their school in Term 3.

In the table below, you can see how each school’s Reopen Community Corps delivered a plan to safely welcome back students and staff. You can also see how many students are currently scheduled for in-person programming. Use the search box to easily find your school or scroll to the bottom to advance to the next page.

For more details about your school’s unique reopening plans, the following bulk data files are available for download and individual one pagers will be available soon for each school on the School Plans section of this website. On those pages, you can also review school building readiness checklists, HVAC enhancement reports, and operations guidance for a safe and healthy reopening.

Classroom Threshold Guidance

As we welcome back more students and staff in Term 3, our goal is to provide safe and supportive in-person learning experiences for students at every school. Schools are making every effort to fill all classrooms, including exhausting all waitlists for the appropriate grade. However, we recognize that families’ preferences may shift.

To operate efficiently, schools strive to meet minimum thresholds for In-Person Learning classrooms, as outlined below. If a classroom does not meet the minimum thresholds, the decision to close a classroom is not made automatically. Rather, a review is conducted taking into consideration the overall school program and alternate programming options for students (e.g. CARE).  Please note that CARE classrooms remain open regardless of classroom enrollment.
