Below you can find programs that are offered to current DCPS middle school students during the summer.
Please note that some programs will require student registration. Programs with registration requirements are indicated with “Registration Required.”

Enrichment
Middle School enrichment is available for current 5th through 9th grade students. DCPS’ summer 2025 enrichment include both academic and non-academic opportunities that are designed to be exciting, engaging, and educational.
To be eligible for enrichment, students must be promoted at the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year. Students who are not promoted, must attend academic recovery.

Academic Recovery
Middle School Academic Recovery is designed primarily for students in grade 6 through 8 who have been flagged for retention by their school principals. Students will be scheduled in both humanities and STEM courses. Students will be re-evaluated for promotion by their school principal following the conclusion of summer learning.
